This is a beautiful church. Everyone is friendly and it's connected to a school that has a very high rating. The school is from k - 8. They have RCIA and also religious education for children. Everyone is friendly. They now have two priests that service the church. A young one that hasn't been ordained long and one of the oldest in the area. It has patrons that are very loyal and gone there for years. People that graduated from the school still attend. It is in the middle of a neighborhood and with in walking distance if you live in the Westgate area, and all are welcome.

Myself, my husband & Granddaughter attended Saint Marys this evening for my husbands Grandson Baptism. Our Granddaughter isnt quiet 2yrs old yet. After the Baptism she began to cry. The church came to a complete stop. Silence and we were starred at until we left. What kind of church does that. Im sure that when Jesus walked the earth, preaching , saving people , healing people etc he would have never stopped because of an infant crying. It was our first visit and definitely our last. We go to a very small church in a poor neighborhood but I can say this. All is welcome & our pastor would never stop anything because of a child crying. Shame on you Saint Mary Magdalene Church on Roy's Ave in Columbus Ohio

Beautiful church and grounds, highly recommend if looking for a new church (Catholic), or elementary/ junior high school. One of my favorite places on the Westside, especially in the summer, because of all the beautiful trees and flowers, it just feels peaceful.

I love the history of this church. I love that it has a sincere spiritual feel to it, and the congregation is humble....a good mix of people. Not too much focus on pride and wealth the way so many churches have become (even among Catholic Parishes). Plus I love the name because although Mary Magdoline got a "bad wrap" in history, she was the very first to see the risen Christ...so what does this tell you about the importance Jesus places on women?...even on "women of this sort?" I love that the Catholic Church venorates this woman enough to even name a Catholic Parish after her!
